The Opening · al-Fatihah · سورة الفاتحة · 7 ayahs
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of everyone and everything.
الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
The Most Kind, the Most Caring.
مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
The Owner of the Day of Judgment.
إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
We worship only You, and we ask only You for help.
اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
Guide us on the straight path.
صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
The path of those You have blessed — not those you are angry with, and not those who lost their way.
