أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ
Wanting more and more things has distracted you.
Abundance · at-Takathur · سورة التكاثر · 8 ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.
حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ
Until you visit the graves.
كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
But soon you will know.
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Then again, soon you will know.
كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِينِ
If only you knew clearly now.
لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيمَ
You will surely see the Hellfire.
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِينِ
Then you will see it with your own eyes.
ثُمَّ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ
On that day, you will be asked about all the good things you enjoyed.
