سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى
Praise the name of your Lord, the Most High.
The Most High · al-A'la · سورة الأعلى · 19 ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Caring.
الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
He created everything and made it just right.
وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
He planned everything, then guided it.
وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَىٰ
He brings out the pastures.
فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىٰ
Then He makes it dry, dark stubble.
سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسَىٰ
We will make you read, and you won't forget.
إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ
Except what Allah wills. He knows what is said out loud, and what is hidden.
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
And We will make things easy for you.
فَذَكِّرْ إِنْ نَفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىٰ
So remind people, if reminding helps.
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَخْشَىٰ
Whoever fears will remember.
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى
But the most miserable will avoid it.
الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ
He will enter the biggest Fire.
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
There, he will neither die nor live.
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ
Successful is whoever purifies himself.
وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ
And remembers his Lord's name, and prays.
بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا
But you prefer this life on earth.
وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ
But the next life is better and lasts longer.
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ
This message was also in the earlier books.
صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
The books of Abraham and Moses.
