The Opening · al-Fatihah · سورة الفاتحة · 7 ayahs
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all creation.
الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
The Most Merciful, the Most Kind.
مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
Master of the Day of Judgment.
إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
We worship only You, and we ask only You for help.
اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
Guide us to the straight path.
صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ
The path of those You have blessed, not of those who earned Your anger, nor of those who lost their way.
