أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ
Have you seen the one who denies Judgment?
Assistance · al-Ma'un · سورة الماعون · 7 ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.
فَذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ
He is the one who harshly pushes away the orphan.
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ
And doesn't encourage feeding the poor.
فَوَيْلٌ لِلْمُصَلِّينَ
So how terrible for those who pray.
الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ
But are careless about their prayers.
الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَ
Those who only want to show off.
وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ
And refuse even small acts of kindness.
