إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ
We sent it down on the Night of Power.
Decree · al-Qadr · سورة القدر · 5 ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind.
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ
And what can make you understand what the Night of Power is?
لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ مِنْ كُلِّ أَمْرٍ
On that night, angels and the Spirit come down, with their Lord's permission, bringing every command.
سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ
Peace it is, until the break of dawn.
