How many a generation have We destroyed before them, who surpassed them in riches and splendor?
But how many groups before them have We destroyed, who had nicer furniture and looked better?
But how many generations before them have We destroyed — people who had nicer belongings and looked better?
How many a generation We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and appearance!
How many generations have We destroyed before them, who surpassed them in assets and appearance?
