Except for him who snatches a fragment—he gets pursued by a piercing projectile.

Except the one who quickly steals a word — but then a bright flaming star chases him away.
Except one who snatches by stealth, and a piercing flame pursues him.
Except for him who snatches a glimpse—he will be pursued by a piercing flare.
