وَالصَّافَّاتِ صَفًّا
By those lined up in rows.
The Aligners · as-Saffat · سورة الصافات · 182 ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
فَالزَّاجِرَاتِ زَجْرًا
And those who drive with force.
فَالتَّالِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا
And those who recite a reminder.
إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ
Truly your God is One.
رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِ
Lord of the heavens and the earth and all between them, and Lord of the easts.
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ الْكَوَاكِبِ
We adorned the nearest heaven with the beauty of the stars.
وَحِفْظًا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَارِدٍ
And as a guard against every rebellious devil.
لَا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى الْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِنْ كُلِّ جَانِبٍ
They cannot listen to the highest assembly and are pelted from every side.
دُحُورًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ وَاصِبٌ
Driven away—and for them is a lasting punishment.
إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ
Except one who snatches by stealth, and a piercing flame pursues him.
فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمْ مَنْ خَلَقْنَا ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُمْ مِنْ طِينٍ لَازِبٍ
So ask them: are they harder to create, or those We have created? We created them from sticky clay.
بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ
Rather, you are amazed while they mock.
وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا لَا يَذْكُرُونَ
When they are reminded, they do not remember.
وَإِذَا رَأَوْا آيَةً يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ
When they see a sign, they ridicule it.
وَقَالُوا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ
And they say, “This is nothing but plain sorcery.
أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
When we have died and become dust and bones, will we really be resurrected?
أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ
And our forefathers too?”
قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنْتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ
Say, “Yes, and you will be humiliated.”
فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ
It will be but a single blast, and at once they will be looking on.
وَقَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
And they will say, “Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense.”
هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
“This is the Day of Separation that you used to deny.
احْشُرُوا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا وَأَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ
Gather those who wronged, and their kinds, and what they used to worship.
مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ فَاهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطِ الْجَحِيمِ
Besides God, and guide them to the path of the Blaze.”
وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ مَسْئُولُونَ
“But stop them—they are to be questioned.”
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ
“What is wrong with you that you do not help one another?”
بَلْ هُمُ الْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ
No, today they are in full surrender.
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
They turned to one another, questioning each other.
قَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ الْيَمِينِ
They said, “You used to come at us from the right.”
قَالُوا بَلْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
They replied, “Rather, you yourselves were not believers.
وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ ۖ بَلْ كُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا طَاغِينَ
We had no authority over you. Rather, you were a transgressing people.
فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَا ۖ إِنَّا لَذَائِقُونَ
So our Lord’s word has come due upon us. We will surely taste it.
فَأَغْوَيْنَاكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَاوِينَ
We led you astray because we ourselves were astray.”
فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ
So on that Day they will all share in the punishment.
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ
That is how We deal with the criminals.
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
Whenever they were told, “There is no god but God,” they grew arrogant.
وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُو آلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَجْنُونٍ
And they would say, “Are we to abandon our gods for a mad poet?”
بَلْ جَاءَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Rather, he came with the truth and confirmed the messengers.
إِنَّكُمْ لَذَائِقُو الْعَذَابِ الْأَلِيمِ
You will surely taste the painful punishment.
وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
You are only repaid for what you used to do.
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
Except God’s devoted servants.
أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَعْلُومٌ
For them there is a known provision.
فَوَاكِهُ ۖ وَهُمْ مُكْرَمُونَ
Fruits—and they will be honored.
فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ
In Gardens of Bliss.
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ
On couches, facing one another.
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِكَأْسٍ مِنْ مَعِينٍ
A cup from a flowing spring will be passed around to them.
بَيْضَاءَ لَذَّةٍ لِلشَّارِبِينَ
White, delicious to the drinkers.
لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنْزَفُونَ
No headache from it, nor will they be intoxicated by it.
وَعِنْدَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ عِينٌ
And with them will be women of modest gaze, with large eyes.
كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَكْنُونٌ
As if they were sheltered eggs.
فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
They will turn to one another, questioning each other.
قَالَ قَائِلٌ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّي كَانَ لِي قَرِينٌ
One of them said, “I had a companion.
يَقُولُ أَإِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُصَدِّقِينَ
Who used to say, ‘Are you really among those who believe?
أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ
When we have died and become dust and bones, will we truly be judged?’”
قَالَ هَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُطَّلِعُونَ
He said, “Will you look down?”
فَاطَّلَعَ فَرَآهُ فِي سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ
So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Blazing Fire.
قَالَ تَاللَّهِ إِنْ كِدْتَ لَتُرْدِينِ
He said, “By God, you nearly ruined me!
وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنْتُ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ
Had it not been for my Lord’s grace, I would have been among those brought there.
أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ
Are we then not to die.
إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا الْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
Except our first death, and we will not be punished?”
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
Truly, this is the supreme triumph.
لِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ الْعَامِلُونَ
For the like of this, let the workers work.
أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ نُزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ الزَّقُّومِ
Is that a better welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum?
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهَا فِتْنَةً لِلظَّالِمِينَ
We made it a trial for the wrongdoers.
إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِي أَصْلِ الْجَحِيمِ
It is a tree that grows from the bottom of the Blazing Fire.
طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُ رُءُوسُ الشَّيَاطِينِ
Its fruit-clusters are like the heads of devils.
فَإِنَّهُمْ لَآكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ
They will eat from it and fill their bellies with it.
ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًا مِنْ حَمِيمٍ
Then on top of it they will have a brew of scalding water.
ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى الْجَحِيمِ
Then their return is surely to the Blazing Fire.
إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا آبَاءَهُمْ ضَالِّينَ
They found their fathers astray.
فَهُمْ عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ
So they rushed in their footsteps.
وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
And before them, most of the ancients went astray.
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ مُنْذِرِينَ
And We had sent warners among them.
فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ
So look how those who were warned ended up.
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
Except God’s devoted servants.
وَلَقَدْ نَادَانَا نُوحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ الْمُجِيبُونَ
Noah called out to Us, and how excellent are We in answering!
وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
We saved him and his family from the great distress.
وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُ هُمُ الْبَاقِينَ
We made his descendants the survivors.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
And We left for him among later generations.
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍ فِي الْعَالَمِينَ
“Peace be upon Noah among all peoples.”
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Thus do We recompense those who do good.
إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
He was among Our believing servants.
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
Then We drowned the others.
وَإِنَّ مِنْ شِيعَتِهِ لَإِبْرَاهِيمَ
And among his followers was Abraham.
إِذْ جَاءَ رَبَّهُ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ
When he came to his Lord with a sound heart.
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ
When he said to his father and his people, “What are you worshiping?
أَئِفْكًا آلِهَةً دُونَ اللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ
Is it false gods besides God that you desire?
فَمَا ظَنُّكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
So what do you think of the Lord of all peoples?”
فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةً فِي النُّجُومِ
Then he cast a glance at the stars.
فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيمٌ
And said, “I am feeling ill.”
فَتَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ
So they turned away from him, departing.
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ آلِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
Then he crept toward their gods and said, “Will you not eat?
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنْطِقُونَ
What is wrong with you that you do not speak?”
فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًا بِالْيَمِينِ
Then he turned on them, striking with his right hand.
فَأَقْبَلُوا إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ
So they came rushing toward him.
قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ
He said, “Do you worship what you carve.
وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
When God created you and what you make?”
قَالُوا ابْنُوا لَهُ بُنْيَانًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِي الْجَحِيمِ
They said, “Build him a structure and cast him into the fire!”
فَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَسْفَلِينَ
They plotted against him, but We made them the lowest.
وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ
And he said, “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me.
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
My Lord, grant me a righteous child.”
فَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِغُلَامٍ حَلِيمٍ
So We gave him glad tidings of a forbearing boy.
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ قَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنِّي أَرَىٰ فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ فَانْظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَا أَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ
When he was old enough to work alongside him, he said, “O my son, I see in a dream that I am slaughtering you, so consider what you think.” He said, “O my father, do what you are commanded. You will find me, if God wills, among the patient.”
فَلَمَّا أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُ لِلْجَبِينِ
When they had both submitted and he laid him down on his forehead.
وَنَادَيْنَاهُ أَنْ يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ
We called out to him, “O Abraham.
قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ الرُّؤْيَا ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
You have fulfilled the vision.” Truly, this is how We recompense the doers of good.
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْبَلَاءُ الْمُبِينُ
This was certainly the clear trial.
وَفَدَيْنَاهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍ
And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
And We left for him among later generations.
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
“Peace be upon Abraham.”
كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
This is how We recompense the doers of good.
إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
He was truly one of Our believing servants.
وَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِإِسْحَاقَ نَبِيًّا مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
And We gave him glad tidings of Isaac, a prophet among the righteous.
وَبَارَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ إِسْحَاقَ ۚ وَمِنْ ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِنَفْسِهِ مُبِينٌ
And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are doers of good and those clearly wronging themselves.
وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ
And We certainly bestowed favor upon Moses and Aaron.
وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ
And We saved them both and their people from the great affliction.
وَنَصَرْنَاهُمْ فَكَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ
And We helped them, so they were the victors.
وَآتَيْنَاهُمَا الْكِتَابَ الْمُسْتَبِينَ
And We gave them both the clarifying Scripture.
وَهَدَيْنَاهُمَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
And We guided them both to the straight path.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِي الْآخِرِينَ
And We left for them among later generations.
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ
“Peace be upon Moses and Aaron.”
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Truly, this is how We recompense the doers of good.
إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
They were both among Our believing servants.
وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
And Elias was certainly one of the messengers.
إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
When he said to his people, “Will you not be mindful?
أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ الْخَالِقِينَ
Do you call upon Baal and abandon the Best of Creators?
اللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
God, your Lord and the Lord of your earliest forefathers?”
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
But they denied him, so they will surely be brought to judgment.
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
Except God’s devoted servants.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الْآخِرِينَ
And We left for him among later generations.
سَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ إِلْ يَاسِينَ
“Peace be upon the family of Elias.”
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
Truly, this is how We recompense the doers of good.
إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
He was one of Our believing servants.
وَإِنَّ لُوطًا لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
And Lot was certainly one of the messengers.
إِذْ نَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ
When We saved him and his family, all of them.
إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَابِرِينَ
Except an old woman among those who stayed behind.
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ
Then We destroyed the others.
وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِمْ مُصْبِحِينَ
You pass by them in the morning.
وَبِاللَّيْلِ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
And at night. Will you not reason?
وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
And Jonah was certainly one of the messengers.
إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ
When he fled to the laden ship.
فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ الْمُدْحَضِينَ
He drew lots and was among the losers.
فَالْتَقَمَهُ الْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
So the whale swallowed him, and he was blameworthy.
فَلَوْلَا أَنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُسَبِّحِينَ
Had he not been among those who glorified God.
لَلَبِثَ فِي بَطْنِهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
He would have remained in its belly until the Day they are resurrected.
فَنَبَذْنَاهُ بِالْعَرَاءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ
So We cast him onto the barren shore, and he was ill.
وَأَنْبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِنْ يَقْطِينٍ
And We grew over him a gourd plant.
وَأَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ مِائَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ
And We sent him to a hundred thousand or more.
فَآمَنُوا فَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
They believed, so We let them enjoy life for a time.
فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ الْبَنُونَ
So ask them: does your Lord have daughters while they have sons?
أَمْ خَلَقْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةَ إِنَاثًا وَهُمْ شَاهِدُونَ
Or did We create the angels female while they witnessed?
أَلَا إِنَّهُمْ مِنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ
Surely it is out of their own fabrication that they say.
وَلَدَ اللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ
“God has begotten,” and they are certainly liars.
أَصْطَفَى الْبَنَاتِ عَلَى الْبَنِينَ
Did He choose daughters over sons?
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ
What is wrong with you? How do you judge?
أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ
Will you not reflect?
أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَانٌ مُبِينٌ
Or do you have a clear authority?
فَأْتُوا بِكِتَابِكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Then bring your scripture, if you are truthful.
وَجَعَلُوا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ الْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ
They have claimed a kinship between Him and the jinn, yet the jinn know well that they will be brought forth.
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
Glory be to God, far above what they ascribe to Him.
إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
But not God’s devoted servants.
فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ
So you and what you worship.
مَا أَنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَاتِنِينَ
You cannot lure anyone away from Him.
إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ الْجَحِيمِ
Except one who is bound for the Blaze.
وَمَا مِنَّا إِلَّا لَهُ مَقَامٌ مَعْلُومٌ
“There is not one among us except that he has an appointed station.
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الصَّافُّونَ
And we are truly those lined up in ranks.
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْمُسَبِّحُونَ
And we are truly those who glorify.”
وَإِنْ كَانُوا لَيَقُولُونَ
They used to say.
لَوْ أَنَّ عِنْدَنَا ذِكْرًا مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ
“If only we had a reminder from the ancients.
لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
We would surely have been God’s devoted servants.”
فَكَفَرُوا بِهِ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
Yet they disbelieved in it, and soon they will know.
وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Our word has already gone to Our servants, the messengers.
إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ الْمَنْصُورُونَ
They will certainly be aided.
وَإِنَّ جُنْدَنَا لَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ
And Our forces will certainly be the victors.
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
So turn away from them for a time.
وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
And watch them, for they will soon see.
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
Is it Our punishment they seek to hasten?
فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ
When it descends upon their courtyard, how wretched will be the morning of those who were warned.
وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
And turn away from them for a time.
وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ
And watch, for they will soon see.
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ
Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, far above what they ascribe.
وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ
And peace be upon the messengers.
وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
And all praise belongs to God, Lord of all worlds.
