O you who believe! Avoid most suspicion—some suspicion is sinful. And do not spy on one another, nor backbite one another. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would detest it. So remain mindful of Allah. Allah is Most Relenting, Most Merciful.

O you who believe! Avoid most suspicion—some suspicion is sinful. And do not spy on one another, nor backbite one another. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would detest it. So remain mindful of God. God is Most Relenting, Most Merciful.
Believers, stay away from guessing bad things about others, because some guesses are wrong and hurtful. Don't spy on each other, and don't say bad things about someone behind their back. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? No, you'd hate it! So be careful to obey Allah. Allah is always ready to forgive those who repent, and He is very kind.
Believers, stay away from making too many assumptions — some assumptions are sinful. Don't spy on each other, and don't talk badly about each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of your dead brother? You would hate that! So be mindful of Allah — Allah is always ready to forgive, and He is full of kindness.
