Those who took their religion lightly, and in jest, and whom the worldly life deceived. Today We will ignore them, as they ignored the meeting on this Day of theirs, and they used to deny Our revelations.

Those who took their religion lightly, and in jest, and whom the worldly life deceived. Today We will ignore them, as they ignored the meeting on this Day of theirs, and they used to deny Our revelations.
Those people treated their religion like a game and a joke, and this life tricked them. Today, We forget them, just as they forgot about meeting this Day, and because they rejected Our signs.
Those who treated their religion as a game and amusement, and were fooled by this worldly life — today We forget them, just as they forgot about meeting this Day, and because they denied Our verses.
