أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ
Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the People of the Elephant?

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ
Did He not render their scheme utterly futile?
وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ
He sent against them birds in flocks.
تَرْمِيهِمْ بِحِجَارَةٍ مِنْ سِجِّيلٍ
Pelting them with stones of baked clay.
فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَأْكُولٍ
And made them like devoured husks.
