Those of you who die and leave wives behind—a will shall provide their wives with support for a year, provided they do not leave. If they leave, you are not to blame for what they do with themselves, provided it is reasonable. God is Mighty and Wise.
Those of you who pass away and leave wives behind should leave a will for their wives, providing for them for a whole year without making them leave their homes. But if the wives choose to leave, there's nothing wrong with what they decide to do for themselves, as long as it's fair and good. Allah is mighty and wise.
