O you who believe! If a troublemaker brings you any news, investigate, lest you harm people out of ignorance, and you become regretful for what you have done.

O you who believe! If a troublemaker brings you any news, investigate, lest you harm people out of ignorance, and you become regretful for what you have done.
Believers, if someone who doesn't behave well brings you news, check carefully first. Otherwise, you might hurt people by mistake, and then feel sorry for what you've done.
