O you who believe! Do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies; some of them are allies of one another. Whoever of you allies himself with them is one of them. Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

O you who believe! Do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies; some of them are allies of one another. Whoever of you allies himself with them is one of them. God does not guide the wrongdoing people.
Believers, don't take Jews and Christians as your close friends and protectors. They're close friends and protectors of each other. If any of you chooses them as close friends and protectors, then he's one of them. Allah doesn't guide people who do wrong.
Believers, don't take Jews and Christians as your close allies — they're allies of each other. Whoever among you takes them as allies becomes one of them. Allah doesn't guide those who do wrong.
