In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

Ta Sin. These are the verses of the Quran and a clear Book.

A guidance and glad tidings for the believers.

Those who establish prayer, give charity, and in the Hereafter they are certain.

Truly, those who do not believe in the Hereafter — We have made their deeds appealing to them, so they wander blindly.

Those are the ones for whom is the worst punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers.

You are surely receiving the Quran from One All-Wise, All-Knowing.

When Moses said to his family, “I have spotted a fire. I will bring you news from it, or bring you a burning brand so that you may warm yourselves.”

When he came to it, he was called: “Blessed is whoever is in the fire and whoever is around it. Glory be to God, Lord of all worlds.

O Moses, it is I — God, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Throw down your staff.” When he saw it writhing as if it were a serpent, he turned fleeing and did not look back. “O Moses, do not be afraid. The messengers do not fear in My presence.

But whoever has done wrong then replaced evil with good — I am truly All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Put your hand into your collar and it will come out white, without blemish — among nine miracles to Pharaoh and his people. They were truly a defiantly sinful people.”

When Our signs came to them, plain to see, they said, “This is obvious sorcery.”

They rejected them, though their souls were convinced of them, out of wrongdoing and arrogance. So look how the corrupters ended up.

We gave David and Solomon knowledge, and they said, “Praise be to God, who has favored us over many of His believing servants.”

Solomon inherited David and said, “O people, we have been taught the language of birds and have been given of everything. This is truly the clear bounty.”

Solomon’s forces of jinn, humans, and birds were assembled before him, marshaled in order.

Until, when they came upon the Valley of the Ants, an ant said, “O ants, enter your dwellings so that Solomon and his forces do not crush you without even realizing it.”

He smiled, laughing at her words, and said, “My Lord, inspire me to be grateful for Your blessing that You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do righteous deeds that please You, and admit me by Your mercy among Your righteous servants.”

He inspected the birds and said, “Why do I not see the hoopoe? Or is he among the absent?

I will surely punish him with a severe punishment, or I will surely slaughter him, unless he brings me a clear authority.”

But he stayed not long and said, “I have encompassed what you have not encompassed, and I have come to you from Sheba with certain news.

I found a woman ruling over them, and she has been given of everything, and she has a magnificent throne.

I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of God. Satan has made their deeds appealing to them and turned them from the path, so they are not guided.”

So that they do not prostrate to God, who brings out what is hidden in the heavens and the earth and knows what you conceal and what you reveal.

God — there is no god but He, Lord of the Mighty Throne.

He said, “We will see whether you have spoken the truth or are among the liars.

Go with this letter of mine and deliver it to them, then turn away from them and see what they respond.”

She said, “O chiefs, a noble letter has been delivered to me.

It is from Solomon, and it reads: ‘In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

Do not be arrogant toward me, and come to me in submission.’”

She said, “O chiefs, advise me in my affair. I have never decided a matter without you present.”

They said, “We possess strength and fierce might, but the decision is yours, so consider what you will command.”

She said, “Truly, when kings enter a town, they ruin it and reduce its most honored people to the lowest. And so they do.

But I will send them a gift and see what the envoys bring back.”

So when he came to Solomon, he said, “Do you offer me wealth? What God has given me is better than what He has given you. Rather, it is you who rejoice in your gift.

Go back to them — we will certainly come at them with forces they cannot withstand, and we will drive them out of it humiliated and debased.”

He said, “O chiefs, which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?”

A powerful one among the jinn said, “I will bring it to you before you rise from your seat, and I am strong enough for it and trustworthy.”

The one who had knowledge of the Scripture said, “I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you.” And when he saw it settled before him, he said, “This is from my Lord’s grace, to test me — whether I give thanks or am ungrateful. Whoever gives thanks only gives thanks for his own benefit, and whoever is ungrateful — my Lord is Self-Sufficient, Most Generous.”

He said, “Disguise her throne for her, and we will see whether she is guided or is among those who are not guided.”

So when she arrived, she was asked, “Is your throne like this?” She said, “It looks like it.” And we were given knowledge before her, and we were in submission.

But what she used to worship besides God had barred her. She was from a disbelieving people.

She was told, “Enter the hall.” And when she saw it, she thought it was a deep pool of water and uncovered her legs. He said, “It is a hall paved smooth with crystal.” She said, “My Lord, I have wronged myself, and I submit, along with Solomon, to God, Lord of all worlds.”

Certainly We sent to Thamud their brother Salih: “Worship God.” But at once they split into two factions quarreling.

He said, “O my people, why do you hasten toward evil before good? Why do you not seek God’s forgiveness, so that you may be shown mercy?”

They said, “We see you and those with you as a bad omen.” He said, “Your omen is with God. Rather, you are a people being tested.”

In the city there were nine men who spread corruption in the land and did no good.

They said, “Swear to one another by God: ‘We will ambush him and his family by night, then tell his guardian: we did not witness the destruction of his family, and we are telling the truth.’”

They plotted a plot, and We plotted a plot, while they were unaware.

So look at how their plotting ended — We destroyed them and their people, all of them.

There are their houses, desolate because of their wrongdoing. Surely in that is a sign for people who know.

And We saved those who believed and were righteous.

And Lot, when he said to his people, “Do you commit this obscenity while you can see?

Do you really approach men with desire instead of women? Rather, you are a people steeped in ignorance.”

The only response of his people was to say, “Drive Lot’s family out of your town — they are people who keep themselves pure!”

So We saved him and his family, except his wife — We decreed her to be among those who stayed behind.

And We rained upon them a rain — how wretched was the rain of those who had been warned!

Say, “Praise be to God, and peace upon His servants whom He chose.” Is God better, or what they associate with Him?

Or is it He who created the heavens and the earth and sent down rain from the sky for you, and We grew with it gardens of delight whose trees you could never have grown? Is there a god beside God? No, they are a people who equate others with Him.

Or is it He who made the earth a stable ground and set rivers through it and placed firm mountains upon it and set a barrier between the two seas? Is there a god beside God? No, most of them do not know.

Or is it He who answers the desperate when he calls upon Him and removes affliction and makes you successors on the earth? Is there a god beside God? Little do you reflect.

Or is it He who guides you through the darknesses of land and sea, and who sends the winds as glad tidings ahead of His mercy? Is there a god beside God? Exalted is God above what they associate with Him.

Or is it He who originates creation then repeats it, and who provides for you from the sky and the earth? Is there a god beside God? Say, “Bring your proof, if you are truthful.”

Say, “No one in the heavens and the earth knows the unseen except God.” And they do not perceive when they will be resurrected.

Rather, their knowledge has failed them regarding the Hereafter. No, they are in doubt about it. No, they are blind to it.

Those who disbelieved said, “When we have become dust — we and our fathers — will we really be brought out?

We were promised this before, we and our fathers. This is nothing but tales of the ancients.”

Say, “Travel through the earth and see how the criminals met their end.”

Do not grieve over them, and do not be distressed by what they scheme.

They say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?”

Say, “Perhaps some of what you seek to hasten is already close behind you.”

Truly your Lord is full of grace toward people, but most of them are not grateful.

Your Lord certainly knows what their chests conceal and what they declare.

There is no hidden thing in the heaven and the earth that is not in a clear record.

This Quran relates to the Children of Israel most of what they differ over.

It is surely a guidance and a mercy for the believers.

Your Lord will judge between them by His decree. He is the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing.

So put your trust in God. You are upon the clear truth.

You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear the call when they turn away retreating.

You cannot guide the blind out of their error. You can only make hear those who believe in Our verses, for they are ones who submit.

When the decree falls upon them, We will bring out for them a creature from the earth that speaks to them: that people had no certainty in Our signs.

On the Day We gather from every nation a throng of those who denied Our verses, and they will be held in ranks.

Until, when they arrive, He will say, “Did you deny My verses without encompassing them in knowledge? Or what was it you were doing?”

The decree will fall upon them for the wrong they did, and they will not speak.

Do they not see that We made the night for them to rest in and the day giving sight? Surely in that are signs for people who believe.

On the Day the Horn is blown, everyone in the heavens and everyone on the earth will be struck with terror, except whom God wills. And all will come to Him humbled.

You see the mountains and think them fixed, yet they drift like clouds. The handiwork of God, Who perfected everything. He is fully Aware of what you do.

Whoever brings a good deed will have something better than it, and they will be safe from the terror of that Day.

And whoever brings an evil deed — their faces will be thrust into the Fire. “Are you repaid for anything but what you used to do?”

“I have only been commanded to worship the Lord of this city, who made it sacred — and to Him belongs everything — and I have been commanded to be among those who submit.

And to recite the Quran.” Whoever is guided is guided only for his own sake. And whoever goes astray — say, “I am only one of the warners.”

And say, “All praise belongs to God. He will show you His signs and you will recognize them.” Your Lord is not unaware of what you do.
