إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْفَطَرَتْ
When the sky is split open.
The Shattering · al-Infitar · سورة الانفطار · 19 ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
وَإِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْ
When the stars are scattered.
وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
When the seas are burst open.
وَإِذَا الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
When the graves are overturned.
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
Every soul will know what it sent ahead and what it left behind.
يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ
O human, what has deluded you about your Generous Lord?
الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
He who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you.
فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ مَا شَاءَ رَكَّبَكَ
In whatever form He willed, He assembled you.
كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِالدِّينِ
No! Rather, you deny the Judgment.
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِينَ
Yet over you are guardians.
كِرَامًا كَاتِبِينَ
Noble, recording.
يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
They know whatever you do.
إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ
Truly the righteous will be in bliss.
وَإِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٍ
And the wicked will be in a Blaze.
يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّينِ
Burning in it on the Day of Judgment.
وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَائِبِينَ
They will never be absent from it.
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
And what will make you realize what the Day of Judgment is?
ثُمَّ مَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
Then again, what will make you realize what the Day of Judgment is?
يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا ۖ وَالْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ
A Day when no soul will avail another soul in anything, and the command that Day belongs to God.
