وَالضُّحَىٰ
By the morning light.
Morning Light · adh-Duha · سورة الضحى · 11 ayahs
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
And the night when it grows still.
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
Your Lord has not abandoned you, nor has He hated you.
وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنَ الْأُولَىٰ
Surely the Hereafter is better for you than the present.
وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰ
And your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied.
أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَىٰ
Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter?
وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَىٰ
And He found you lost and guided you.
وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ
And He found you in need and made you self-sufficient.
فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ
So as for the orphan, do not oppress him.
وَأَمَّا السَّائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ
And as for the one who asks, do not rebuke him.
وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ
And as for your Lord’s blessing, proclaim it.
